Terms & Conditions
Applicable to Manitoba, Canada
Last updated: October 2025
These Terms & Conditions apply to Grayson Butler, Alpine K9 Alliance, and The Farm Pet Retreat (collectively “we,” “our,” or “us”). By enrolling in training, lodging, grooming, or any other services, you (“the Client”) agree to the terms below.
Eligibility & Client Responsibility
All dogs must be in good health, current on required vaccinations, and free from contagious conditions or parasites.
• Clients are responsible for accurately disclosing their dog’s medical history, behavioural concerns, and any known aggression.
• Dogs showing signs of illness or unsafe behaviour may be declined service or referred to a veterinarian or behaviour specialist.
• Clients are responsible for ensuring their dog arrives with proper identification and equipment.
Training Services
Training programs are designed and conducted by Certified Dog Trainer Grayson Butler using humane, evidence-based methods.
• Results vary depending on each dog’s temperament, past experiences, and consistency of practice at home.
• Training outcomes cannot be guaranteed, as success depends heavily on ongoing owner participation and environment.
• Clients agree to follow training instructions and maintain consistency to reinforce learned behaviours.
Lodging, Daycare, and Facility Use
• Lodging and daycare at The Farm Pet Retreat are designed for enrichment, safety, and comfort.
• While every precaution is taken to ensure safety, clients acknowledge that participation involves inherent risks (such as play-related injuries or stress).
• The facility reserves the right to separate or remove any dog for safety, health, or behavioural reasons.
• Lodging dogs may be evaluated by staff or trainer to ensure suitability for group settings.
Payments, Deposits & Cancellations
• Payment is due at the time of booking unless otherwise agreed.
• Deposits for training programs or lodging may be required to secure a reservation.
• Cancellations made less than 48 hours before a scheduled service may result in forfeiture of the deposit or applicable cancellation fees.
• No refunds are issued for partially completed training sessions or programs once started.
Liability Waiver
By enrolling in services, the Client agrees to:
• Release Grayson Butler, Alpine K9 Alliance, and The Farm Pet Retreat, along with their employees, contractors, and agents, from any liability for injury, loss, or damage to their dog, property, or person, except in cases of proven negligence or willful misconduct.
• Accept full responsibility for any damage or injury caused by their dog to property, people, or other animals while on or off the premises.
• Acknowledge that while we maintain high safety and professional standards, no environment is completely risk-free.
Health, Wellness, and Veterinary Care
• If a dog becomes ill or injured while in our care, we will make reasonable efforts to contact the owner or emergency contact.
• If immediate medical attention is required, the dog will be taken to the nearest veterinarian. The owner agrees to assume full financial responsibility for any resulting costs.
• The Farm Pet Retreat and Alpine K9 Alliance are not liable for pre-existing medical conditions, allergic reactions, or unforeseen health complications.
Photo & Video Release
We may occasionally take photos or videos of dogs in training or during their stay for educational or promotional purposes.
By agreeing to these terms, you consent to the use of your pet’s likeness on social media, websites, or marketing materials unless you provide written notice opting out.
Confidentiality & Privacy
All client and pet information is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable Canadian privacy laws (PIPEDA and FIPPA).
We will not disclose personal or client data to third parties without consent, except where required by law.
Code of Conduct
We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone engaging in disrespectful, aggressive, or unsafe behaviour toward staff, other clients, or animals. All interactions are expected to uphold a professional and positive environment for people and pets.
Amendments
We may update these Terms & Conditions periodically. The most current version will always be available on our website or by request. Continued use of services constitutes acceptance of any updated terms.
Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of the Province of Manitoba and the applicable laws of Canada.
Any disputes arising under these terms shall be resolved within the jurisdiction of Manitoba courts.
