I’ve always been fascinated by dogs, not just what they do, but why they do it. Every growl, jump, or anxious glance tells a story about how they experience the world. Over the years, I’ve learned that behaviour isn’t about disobedience; it’s about emotion, energy, and the nervous system.

When a dog feels safe, understood, and supported, learning becomes effortless. When owners show calm, confident leadership, their dogs respond with trust, focus, and joy. That’s when real transformation happens.

I’m the owner and head trainer of Alpine K9 ( previously Alpine K9 Alliance), based in St. Claude, Manitoba at The Farm Pet Retreat. With a history of working with 800 + dogs in Manitoba, I have learned the nuances of dog behaviour, and building a better bond. My mission is simple: to help dogs and their families move through life with calm-confidence and clarity. My approach combines structure, empathy, and relationship-based leadership to raise dogs who are not only well-mannered but emotionally resilient, and owners who lead with purpose and presence.

In 2025, I graduated as a  Heather’s Heroes Certified Trainer. This gave me the tools and perspective that elevated my work even further. Their program emphasizes leadership through connection, understanding each dog as an individual, and teaching owners to guide with consistency and compassion. It reinforced what I’ve always known: training isn’t about control, it’s about trust, clarity, and clear communication.

What truly sets my work apart is my focus on the nervous system and emotional regulation. I’ve seen dogs who are reactive, anxious, or overwhelmed completely transform once we help them regulate their energy. Helping dogs feel safe in their bodies and minds unlocks focus, confidence, and a willingness to learn. It’s not magic,  it’s science, patience, and connection, and it’s where lasting change begins.

Over the years, I’ve worked with hundreds of dogs across all breeds and temperaments, from fearful rescues and high-energy adolescents to shutdown or reactive dogs. My goal is always the same: to teach dogs how to think, respond, and thrive, and owners who can lead with calm, confidence, and consistency.

Through Alpine K9, I offer programs like Day Train, Stay & Train, and immersive Board & Train experiences, each designed to meet dogs where they are, emotionally, mentally, and behaviourally. My programs aren’t just about obedience; they’re about transformation, connection, and freedom.

At the heart of everything I do is this belief:
Leadership builds trust, connection strengthens bonds, and emotional regulation creates harmony.

That’s what I strive for every day, helping dogs and their people grow, heal, and succeed together, one confident, balanced step at a time.
