Grayson changed our lives. Frank 1, intrusive doggy thoughts 0!
Last year, I rescued a big, sweet dog; a now-135 pound sweet dog, to be exact. Frank has the biggest heart and the biggest of feelings to go with it.
Frank loves love. Frank is never happier than when he is with his people, namely his mom. And when I say with, I mean WITH. Right beside. Direct eyeline. Constant attention/touch. Frank also struggled to manage those big feelings (I mean, who among us doesn't?) and had lots of trouble finding his zen and being able to just settle and enjoy the world around him. Result? Anxious, whiny dog with an equally anxious owner.
Cue Grayson. After one, one-on-one session Frank was on the road to success. After 5 nights of board and train? Frank is a master at 'cot and chill' (i.e., being able to place and relax), is moving through the outdoor world like the regulated gentleman he was born to be, and even mastered using stairs to get in and out of our huge SUV.
I've literally started carrying his business cards around because so many people ask me who trained him.
I've worked with many dog trainers in my time, many of them with success in skills (i.e., sit, heel). But this one gave us the abilities to get the very best out of each day and we are both so grateful.

Working with Grayson completely changed our lives with Nova. When we started, Nova was struggling with intense reactivity, anxiety, leash pulling, and an inability to settle and because stress can trigger seizures for her, we knew this was about far more than obedience. Grayson immediately understood that. He didn’t just see behaviours; he saw Nova’s nervous system and met her exactly where she was.
During training, Nova also developed a seizure disorder, which forced us to pause until she stabilized. Even then, Grayson never stepped away. He continued to support us with reassurance, guidance, and a deeper understanding of how health challenges can impact behaviour. That steady presence during such a scary time meant more to us than we can put into words.
Through the Ultimate Training Experience, Grayson gave us structure, clarity, and the confidence to become true pack leaders. We saw real, lasting progress, calmer walks, better choices at home, and a dog who could finally begin to regulate herself. Since working with Grayson, Nova no longer looks at our cats like they’re lunch (even though she very much wants to play… and the feeling is not mutual).
Adding K9 Country Club daycare (Structured Daycare Program) became a vital extension of that work. Nova found a calm, safe place where she could practice regulation, enjoy successful pack walks, build friendships, and relax around other dogs. Seeing her go from constant stress to zero reactivity at daycare and genuine ease has been incredible.
As the owners of a reactive dog who can look scary to the outside world, Patrick and I often carried a lot of shame, guilt, and hopelessness. Grayson never made us feel like we had failed or done something wrong. He never pushed methods that didn’t sit right with us, and he respected our relationship with Nova. For example, a previous trainer told us Nova shouldn’t be allowed on the bed, but as a person with a significant disability, that space is where Nova and I bond and regulate together. Ending that connection was never an option, and Grayson never once suggested it.
This isn’t quick-fix training. It’s thoughtful, compassionate, and deeply informed support for the whole dog, nervous system, health, and human bond included. Grayson changed how Nova experiences the world, and how we experience life with her.
We are endlessly grateful - and Nova is finally at peace, becoming who she was always meant to be.✨

I fostered and then adopted a pup that was attacked by another dog and left for dead at just 3 months old. He is a Heeler x border collie so already a challenging breed. With his very difficult beginnings to life, Ryker had a strong lack of impulse control.
Luckily it wasn’t displayed with aggression but it was controlling my personal life because I couldn’t have people into my house. He would not calm down when company was over and if I tried to put him in his crate (a place he actually loved) he would scream until the company left or I would let him out. I loved this little guy but I was at my witts end - I had tried a number of exercises by on line trainers and saw a small improvement.
It wasn’t until I did the 7 day board and train with Grayson that we made progress. I learned a lot and Ryker started his journey to calm. 6 months later, I have a completely different dog. I still have more work to do with and likely will for the rest of his life - due mostly to his breed now. I can’t recommend Grayson enough to help you and your dog find a way to find calm, connection and focus in your lives.

Bentley and I started out with 6 weeks of training with Grayson and won an extra 6 weeks! I love and appreciate Grayson’s positive reinforcement approach and Bentley’s excitement to see Grayson on training days is proof that he buys in to the program too!
Bentley has gone from a super reactive little boss, to a much calmer and noticeably less stressed little man. Walks are enjoyable now and we are both much less stressed when we meet other dogs while we’re out and about. Grayson is knowledgeable, patient and a terrific teacher.

Grayson at K9 Alpine has made the impossible possible with Lucy who came into our lives.
With a history of abuse, Lucy's aggressive insecure behaviour was unpredictable and created fear of going anywhere with Lucy or anyone coming over.
Lucy bit me twice. We didn't know if we could keep her. .
Lucy spent two weeks with Grayson and his training of place, crate, loose leash and play resulted in breakthroughs.
We continued the discipline at home. Lucy lost her anxiety to the point that she is good with the cat, as well as people who could not previously get near her.
She goes herself to "place" or 'crate' if she needs to calm down.
