Hi, I’m Grayson Butler, Certified Dog Trainer and the person behind Alpine K9. Writing this first blog post feels a bit like inviting you into my training room and saying, “Come sit with me. Let me show you why I do what I do.”
Because Alpine K9 isn’t just a brand, it’s my story, my passion, and my reminder of how powerful the human–dog relationship can be.
How Alpine K9 Started
I didn’t grow up planning to become a dog trainer for behavioural work, my heart was set on agility.I became one because dogs were the constant thread through some of the hardest chapters of my life. And these intense dogs changed my life forever.
In my twenties, when everything felt overwhelming, uncertain, or heavy, dogs were the ones who kept me grounded. They gave me comfort, purpose, and connection when I needed it most. They helped me grow, heal, and rebuild. That experience shaped everything I do now.
It’s why I’m drawn to dogs who are misunderstood. It’s why I work so closely with behavioural cases. And it’s why Alpine K9 exists today, to help dogs and their people find clarity, structure, and confidence again.

Owner-Focused Support
Because training isn’t just about the dog, it’s about giving you the skills, mindset, and structure to create calm and consistency.
Why This Space Matters to Me
Some of the most meaningful moments in my work happen quietly:
When a reactive dog takes its first deep, relaxed breath.
When a nervous dog leans in for trust instead of avoidance.
When an overwhelmed owner finally feels understood instead of judged.
Those moments remind me that dog training is emotional work, for everyone involved. It’s not about perfection; it’s about progress, communication, and safety.
That’s what Alpine K9 stands for. That’s what this blog will stand for.
