From the first dogs walking through the door to the last tail wag of the day, the energy, excitement, and community support around Alpine K9 was something unforgettable.

The Build-Up Behind the Scenes

What many people didn’t see was everything that led up to this moment. The weeks and months before opening were spent in full renovation mode, with long days, early mornings, late nights, and a constant push to bring the space to life. Walls were finished, equipment set up, spaces cleaned and organized, and everything adjusted until it felt right for the dogs who would eventually walk through the doors.

It wasn’t just construction, it was a vision being built from the ground up into a structured facility.

Built Through Community, Family, Friends & Clients

This Open House didn’t happen in isolation. What made it possible was community.

Support came from family who showed up when it mattered most, friends who stepped in without hesitation, and local connections who believed in the vision even when it was still unfinished rooms and ideas.

Just as importantly, early clients played a huge role. Their trust in booking dog training and dog daycare services before opening day helped bring this facility to life.

A Successful Open House Filled With Heart

Opening the doors for the Alpine K9 Open House officially marked the beginning of something that had been building for a long time, with over 130 people attending throughout the day at the dog training centre in Portage la Prairie.

What made the day truly special wasn’t just the space coming to life, but the community that filled it.

Familiar faces, new clients, excited dogs, families, and supporters all came together in one space. Conversations were happening everywhere, connections were being made, and trust was being built in real time between dogs, handlers, and the environment.

It felt like more than an opening, it felt like the start of a community hub built around training, structure, and care for dogs.

VIP Canada Day Party for Our Daycare Dogs

To celebrate Canada Day, a special VIP experience was hosted for dog daycare clients, creating a day full of enrichment, engagement, and calm structure.

The dogs enjoyed a thoughtfully planned mix of activities, including:

Enrichment games and mental stimulation

Lick mats for calming and focus

Social time with other daycare dogs

Structured play and engagement

A zen zone for rest and decompression

Pawparazzi-style photo moments and doggie selfies

Creative enrichment experiences like lick mat painting

Even in a celebration setting, structure, rest, and balance stayed at the centre of the experience, supporting healthy dog daycare behaviour and wellbeing. What stood out most wasn’t just the activities or setup, but how well the dogs responded to the environment. Calm moments, confident dogs, and safe social interactions reflected the purpose behind the space. Trust, structure, and clear communication shaped the experience between handlers, dogs, and the community around them.
